Arkansas Delta BBQ And Blues

The Tubehoarder txt me early this morning to do BBQ breakfast in the Delta. The Jones family has been doing BBQ in Marianna since the early 1900's.

After a few sandwiches at Jones we moved on to Craig's in DeVals Bluff. One of the best hot BBQ sauces ever.   

 

 The divider in the roof was to divide between blacks and whites yet it was black owned. Glad those days are gone.

 The Tubehoarder knows all the best spots in the Delta. Off the side of the road is Pie Shop...

 

There were only a few different kinds of pies left. No chocolate and no fried pies today... Sigh...

Close as I could get to the Pie Shop kitchen.

Next time your in the Delta and you see a road side shack advertising food just stop. In fact the worse the sign and shack the better the food.
