What is it? Sanborn?

I went to a small auction at the Klipsch factory where proceeds would go to restore some of the items in the Klipsch Museum Of Audio History. I bought many items but only one did I have no clue what it was. 
Any idea what this is?

What was it used for?
 

The logo is very cool and the knobs are stylish.

 The unit is modular in construction. The power supply has hints as to what it is but I do not know.

The unit has many tubes 6v6 6SL7 12AU7

 Anything worth scavenging in this whatever it is?
